Read more...The research in AVAH Lab is focused on studying and modeling the biomechanics of voice production and speech acoustics to investigate how an anomaly in vocal anatomy and function may lead to dysphonia. We do data-driven mathematical modeling of the auditory system to understand auditory sound processing and voice perception. We employ advanced signal/image processing, data mining and statistical analysis techniques to investigate these mechanisms in norm and disorder.
